Evelyn Tay
Evelyn Tay is a seasoned leader in education management and business strategy, with a strong track record of driving growth and operational excellence in the enrichment and private education sector. As CEO, Singapore, and Group CHRO at EtonHouse International Education Group, she also helms The Eton Academy, leading its strategic direction and ensuring the delivery of high-quality tuition and enrichment programmes that empower students to excel.
With over 25 years of experience across finance, human resources, and education, Evelyn played an instrumental role in the expansion of The Learning Lab, where she helped grow its network of centres and led the development of new programme offerings. Her expertise in business operations, talent development, and change management has established her as a transformative leader in education.
At The Eton Academy, Evelyn champions innovation and curriculum excellence, and is deeply committed to creating a supportive, inspiring environment where educators thrive and students build the confidence and skills to succeed.
Gene Gan
Gene Gan is an accomplished education leader with over 20 years of experience in entrepreneurship, design thinking, organisational development, and curriculum development and delivery across adult CET, tertiary, and K-12 educational institutions in Singapore, APAC, and the United States.
As the Director of Enrichment at The Eton Academy, Gene oversees the development of innovative programmes that enhance students’ learning experiences and academic growth. With a strong background in science education, instructional design, and training, he has led initiatives that foster critical thinking and a love for learning. His expertise in scaling operations and creating engaging, results-driven learning frameworks ensures The Eton Academy’s programmes remain relevant, effective, and impactful.
Committed to mentoring teachers and enhancing curriculum quality, Gene plays a key role in upholding The Eton Academy’s standards of excellence, helping children thrive academically and beyond.

Tan Yi Ting
As the Head of Curriculum and Teaching, Ms Tan oversees the training and development of our teachers as well as ensures the quality of our carefully crafted in-house curriculum. A passionate and affable teacher and leader, she builds strong relationships with students, parents and teachers alike.

Teacher Hugh has 25 years of teaching experience in MOE and the private enrichment space. His passion for education and learning transcends the classroom, creating an exciting and engaging environment. He has deep content knowledge and is a charismatic teacher who brings lessons to life!

Anna Bednarek

Teacher Anna holds two Masters degrees – one in linguistics from NTU. Having worked and lived in Singapore more than 14 years, she is well versed with the local education space. She has extensive experience teaching children, developing curriculum and has held leadership positions in her previous roles. With her affable and positive nature, her classroom is transformed into a lively learning space for her students to learn without reservation.

Teacher Allie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and has more than 6 years of experience in the enrichment sector. Known for her child-led approach, she blends structure with spontaneity, creating a safe space for children to explore, learn and grow.
Cheng Yanru

Teacher Yanru has more than ten years of experience teaching Math and Science to primary school children in the private enrichment sector. As a teacher and supervisor, she brings with her a wealth of experience and expertise.

Teacher Denis graduated with a Master’s degree from the UK and holds International Baccalaureate PYP and TESOL teaching certification. Having taught young children in Shanghai and Singapore for nearly a decade, he brings a wealth of experience and diversity into the classroom. His classes are energetic, enthusiastic, and engaging while being goal-oriented and meticulous.
Doreen Wong

Teacher Doreen has a BA Early Childhood and a Diploma in Early Childhood. She has amassed more than 20 years experience as a principal and teacher in the private childcare space. Her wealth of experience transforms the classroom into a fun-loving environment, where each child is able to recognise their own potential. She believes in working together to find the best possible way to help each child do their best and improve themselves. She is a strong believer that learning should be fun and engaging thus is always exploring creative ways to help children gain interest and internal motivation to learn more.
Jade Ang

Teacher Jade graduated with Honours from NUS and has a Post Graduate certification from the College of Allied Education. She has more than eight years of experience teaching, writing curriculum, and even as a role of Vice-Principal. She strongly believes in parent-teacher collaboration to help the child and that every child is unique, and she wants to help them discover and build their potential.

Her lessons are well-structured yet never stressful, helping students learn with confidence and enjoyment. Teacher Jing Ying graduated with a BA in Math and Economic from the USA. She has close to 5 years experience teaching Maths and olympiad classes. Her passion for mathematics helps her to deliver engaging and dynamic lessons, whist fostering student collaboration in the classroom.

Teacher Kai En graduated with BA (Honours) from Lasalle College of the Arts. With more than 4 years experience in MOE and private education, she is familiar with both preschool and primary space. An enthusiastic and dedicated teacher, she strongly believes in being a pillar of support in the child’s learning journey.
Lee Shu Hui

Teacher Shu Hui graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and worked in paediatric nursing before moving into private tuition. She later specialised in special needs education and completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Special Education at the National Institute of Education. With experience in early intervention and mainstream support, she brings a nurturing and learner-centred approach to her classes. Teacher Shu Hui believes in partnering closely with families and strives to nurture confidence, curiosity and a love for learning in every child.

Teacher Sam holds a BA in Psychology and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Applied Linguistics and TESOL at SUSS. With over five years of experience in both enrichment and educational therapy, she is skilled at supporting diverse learners. Her passion for language and creativity helps her build inclusive and engaging classrooms where every child feels empowered to express themselves.
Shobah Edmund

Teacher Shobah graduated with a BA degree in Early Childhood Studies from Melbourne, and holds multiple diplomas in Early Childhood Leadership and Care from Singapore and USA. With more than 15 years of teaching, curriculum and leadership experience in the preschool space, she has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and skills to impart to her students. She is ardently dedicated to fostering a creative and inclusive learning environment, where curiosity and engagement in children is encouraged. Her commitment to holistic development, coupled with strong interpersonal skills has enabled her to create enriching learning experiences for diverse learners.
